Inspect your sump pump.

Sump pumps will usually overwork during winter to keep your basement flood-free. Fill the basin upto its maximum level, now your sump pump should start immediately. If it doesn’t work, then it needs repair or replacement. Suppose if you remove the basin, there will be a grate at the bottom that needs cleaning. Hire a professional plumber to inspect the sump pump and other appliances.

Check the basement for potential damages. If you notice wet spots, pools of water, or smell mold, you most likely have a leak that needs urgent repair.
